Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85 Angled Spotting Scope Rental

$20 Per Day

The Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85 angled spotting scope is the workhorse of the Vortex Optics spotter lineup and the one most hunters reach for when the glassing is serious. The 85 mm objective lens pulls in enough light that the last twenty minutes of legal shooting time stay usable, and the HD optical system holds impressive resolution all the way to 60x. It is a full size Viper HD spotter, not a compromise, so this is the scope for glassing from a fixed position rather than shaving ounces. Renting the Vortex Viper HD from Hunt Vizion is how you get incredible optical performance on your tripod without buying a scope that sits in a case eleven months a year.

Trophy Judging

When the decision is whether to spend two days on a stalk, you want a closer look than a compact spotter gives you. At 60x the Viper HD resolves the detail that makes the call.

Low Light Glassing

The 85 mm objective lens is the whole point. Maximum brightness at first and last light is where animals move, and this is the scope that keeps working when smaller glass quits.

Range Days

Set it behind the bench on a tripod and read your own impacts. Ultrasharp viewing at distance turns a spotting scope into the fastest feedback loop you have.

Key Features

  • HD Lens Elements High density glass corrects for color fringing and delivers bright sharp images with the resolution that makes 60x actually usable rather than just available.
  • Fully Multi Coated Lenses Multiple anti reflective coatings on every air to glass surface maximize light transmission, which is what separates a good spotter from a bright one.
  • Multi Layer Prism Coatings Proprietary coatings on the prism surfaces preserve brightness and cut glare, so the image stays clean when you are glassing into the sun.
  • ArmorTek Exterior Lens Coating A hard protective layer guards the exterior lens against scratches, oil, and dirt through seasons of pack and truck abuse.
  • Helical Focus The helical style focus ring wraps the body for fine control with either hand and keeps the profile clean with nothing to snag.
  • Adjustable Eyecup Twist the adjustable eyecup to set eye relief between 17.8 mm and 19.6 mm for comfortable viewing with or without glasses.
  • Angled Body Design The angled configuration gives an overall lower mounting height on the tripod, which means a shorter setup, more stability in wind, and less neck strain over a long sit.
  • Waterproof and Fogproof O-ring seals and argon purging keep moisture out and prevent internal fogging through temperature swings.
  • Arca Swiss Compatible Foot Mounts straight to an Arca Swiss tripod head with no adapter plate needed.

Incredible Optical Performance Without the Purchase

The rugged Viper HD is built to be owned for a decade, which is exactly why renting makes sense for most hunters. You get the full 85 mm scope, the same HD optical system, and the same glass for the specific weeks you are in the field, at a fraction of what ownership costs. It is also the only real way to find out whether you want an angled or straight spotting scope, and whether 85 mm is worth the weight for how you hunt, before you commit. Take it out, glass hard, and decide.
